Meet The Makers
Adam & Mackenzie Tarpley
Adam Tarpley comes from a long line of craftsmen—framers, metal fabricators, and custom cabinetmakers. His deepest influence came from working side by side with his father and grandfather in their cabinet shop. As an apprentice, Adam absorbed not only the fundamentals of woodworking but also a legacy of values: quality, honesty, and true craftsmanship.
Adam draws his inspiration from antique furniture, particularly Shaker and Colonial styles, both in design and construction. He believes that if you want to build something that lasts for generations, the best blueprint is to study pieces that have already stood the test of time—and to build them the way they used to be built.
In 2022, everything changed when his mother-in-law described a cabinet she saw in a dream. Adam offered to bring that vision to life, and in the process, rediscovered his passion for furniture making. The experience of transforming an idea from imagination to a physical, lasting piece was deeply fulfilling—and it reignited a lifelong calling.
Mackenzie Tarpley was born into a world of art. As the daughter of accomplished artist Lisa Mote , she grew up traveling the country to art shows, helping run the family booth, and learning in the studio. Her artistic talents span painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. Mackenzie brings a vibrant creative energy and a trained eye for design to everything she touches.
Together, Adam’s traditional woodworking roots and Mackenzie’s artistic flair form a perfect blend of precision and creativity. Each piece they create is not only one-of-a-kind, but also crafted to endure—beautifully built to be both timeless and lasting.
